Jim Boelter, who has over 40 years experience in the electrical industry, started Drake Electric. He is a licensed Electrical Contractor in South Dakota and Nebraska. He is also a licensed Fire Alarm Installer in the state of Nebraska. Jim began his electrical journey when he attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa where he graduated with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Industrial and Commercial Wiring in 1983. After graduating, he worked for a manufacturing plant working on equipment, began a family electrical business, and then moved to Omaha where he worked at a large construction company as an Electrical Superintendent. Jim started Drake Electric because he missed the personable experiences that came with a family owned business and has always had a passion for engaging first hand with customers.
